Just ordered a big Breakfast which is somewhat overpriced given what is included but the really strange thing is they refuse to accommodate my request for fried eggs instead of poached. On complaining I'm told by the manager that their chef refuses to cook fried eggs. I have spent most of my life in the food service industry and have never ever come across a place that wouldn't attempt to accommodate a customers request especially for something as simple as a fried egg. This place would do well to remember that anyone can cook food but it's the attitude of the staff and cafe that people come back for. Won't be back and will ensure that no one associated with my businesses eats their either.
Very over priced. $55 for a breakfast for two. Did was good but small. A $8.50 iced coffee only 350ml. Had to go to Macca's after
I thought this would be good based on the number of customers but we were pretty disappointed in both food and service. Poached eggs tasted like vinegar and my corn fritters were some kind of overfried hard crusty concoction that was inedible. Worst place I've dined in Newcastle. And its overpriced for the quality of food. Plates came out at different times.
Went for a nice birthday breakfast, coffee was pretty good. Food came out at different times (one came out once everyone was finished), banana bread was burnt, bits of the big breakfast were cold. Waffles were very good and acai delicious.
So disappointing this idea to be a favourite cafe. Sad to say but went to wash my hands and if was absolutely dirty :(We mentioned in and went back an hour later and just the same. A staffmember had a look and said i dont blame you I wouldn't use it either :(My friend was spoken to rudely to move out the way when she was trying to order three times by a waitress pushing past her :( I had to go down the road to wash my hands and come back :(definitely will not be back nor will our interstate visitors.
