They are open till late which is good. Their vintage section is great.
I found the customer service to be very poor, particularly when I asked if they stocked a particular product.
Very highly regarded neighbourhood bottle shop in the historic east end of Hunter Street Newcastle. Rowie's is a treasured local asset for the local community largely due to it being the only bottle shop in the historic east end of Newcastle and quite some walking, or stumbling, distance to the nearest alternative. The shop is housed in a stunning ancient former bank which really should be a location for ghosts, but the helpful staff member indicated he believed this to unfortunately not be the case. The shop is slightly pricier than a big chain bottleshop but that is understandable because they are not a big chain bottleshop.
