I often attend events held here. There is plenty of space for gazebos and marquees. The big trees provide decent shade. There are toilets but no baby change table.
Great day out with the kids. Great fountain and shadey trees. Make sure you come here when no markets are on as it is a great spot to spend some time.
Went yesterday for the olive tree markets, plenty of variety and lots of open space but market stalls were very close together making it hard to get around with so many people attending. The public toilets were disgusting and do not recommend using them unless desperate. The rest of the park is fairly clean and we'll maintained. Recommend for a picnic with kids but no play equipment.
Nice park, was there for the olive grove markets. The park is nicely maintained and with good facilities too. There was plenty of family there with young children enjoying the park. But the biggest let down is parking, or the lack of. Newcastle council needs to provide more parking so people can actually go there to enjoy the park.....
Memorial Grove. There is this one small spot away from the rest of it, like a small park within a park away from the hustle and bustle and its like when you arrive your lost in this little space of calm and people don't even notice that it's right there in front of them. It's my favorite part of the park to sit at.
