Appalled and disgusted by the treatment of these retailers. I have purchases chairs, tables, rugs, bed linen in the past. On this occasion (24/1/2019) I was hung up on when on the phone mentioning that the rug(2x3) @ $1200) purchased less than 20 hours earlier was FAR too big for my space which was a small circular breakfast table. I was unable to even unfurl it but could see it a section was stained. The co-owner suggested I had done that in the rear of my 4WD which was spotless. Unbelievable as I intended purchasing a king size bed with side tables & a 3 seater lounge in the future. Totally shocked as ALL merchandise was in 10-15% sale & she further mentioned that there was no spot as it was on the floor. I know that it was in the same position as last year rolled up. Total fabrication. Do not rely on these people as they are not interested in seeking an solution for your interior. Would not even explore a credit or alternative. So stuck with a rug I can't even unfurl. Totally unprofessional. All responsibility was mine apparently but it was stained. They sell damaged goods without remorse.Further, in response to the inference in owner's reply:This is how I feel. I traveled from back to Sydney but will return to Newcastle to return said item. As a man of principle I am happy to sustain the cost of $1, 200 so any abuse was suffered by me. There was a scratch on the a table ( $250) noticeable outside in daylight when packing car) without assistance I let it slide! The other rug ($180) was fine. At no stage did I verbally abuse anyone. I was just disappointed and shocked. I do however reject the snide smear that I'm to blame for any stain. That undeserved opportunist comment in a very brief ph. conversation speaks volumes. The journey was 4 hrs +. Lack of ethics is not acceptable in any business either. Hell of a difference I surmise between Ashgrove than H.H.; thought I had a rapport with Paul. Still shocked.

The staff were lovely and friendly, and were accommodating in helping my daughter to find their kids area while we looked at rugs. They were happy to let me borrow some samples to take home and see how they looked in my house. Great shop, I'll be back :)

Staff have a level of I'm better than you that is unmatched in Newcastle. Spent $300 each on several bar stools and when they started falling apart after 2 years they said we don't deal with that company any more. Sorry.

Expensive, but good value, well-made, sturdy and long life expected, metallic bases and unbreakable. Very artistic cane designs chaiselonge and armchairs.
