Honeysuckle Hotel Losers with a capital L. Rocked up for a pre lunch drink. 50 people waiting for service one bar attendant. We didn't get a drink. Came back after lunch. Bad music bad atmosphere took the lift to the 1st floor with some kind of dead animal in the lift. There was no sign or indication about a private function. Got glared at and very rudely told to leave. We're reasonable people and left quietly just don't need that kind of bad threatening behaviour from staff. We're locals and won't be back.
Very very understaffed! Had to wait ages to get a drink in big long line. Food average. Great view but at what cost? There are other places with harbour views with better service and food.
Food was good, however we went on boxing day and it seemed understaffed. Our table was disgustingly sticky, and upon checking other tables they were just as sticky. A table nearby had foot prints on it. This wasn't surprising as we didn't see the ONE staff member clearing tables wipe down a single table in the 1.5 hours we were there. I ended up cleaning my table myself and the result is the picture below. The massive wait for drinks, and dirty table might be enough to deter me from trying again for the good food and beautiful venue.
Best for lunch. Breakfast options were slim as theyd were sold out of our first two choices, even though the place was empty.Great view and the coffee is good.
Nice place with really good tasting food. My big issue is that when you order share plates, you assume there will be enough to share. The share plates here are only good for two people, any more than that and each person really only gets a taste. We also couldn't help but laugh when the prawn "skewers" came as 4 prawns each with a skewer standing straight up. Seems like a waste of skewers since you had to use a knife and fork to remove the tail anyway and would have looked better without.
