Nice trad. Pub outside seating, excellent beers, staff bristling with energy, very good spot for a quiet one on the way home from town in the afternoon.
Attending a xmas party lunch. Food was outstanding, especially for such a large group (around 50). Service friendly.
Went upstairs to get pub menu instead to send us down, they accommodated us and let us seat there. Good service schnitzel was tasty and the fires very good and the sa;ad fresh and tasty as well.... very nice.
Two of us dined at Sprout Dining (above the main Hotel bar) at 7pm on a Wednesday night. We found the service to be excellent and the food delicious and reasonably priced. We appreciated the free bread rolls and the delicious wine. The atmosphere was welcoming, the tables reasonably spaced and our ability to have a conversation and not have to shout like in other Newcastle restaurants a delight. Highly recommended.
Had a great time upstairs, at a wedding reception. Food, service and venue were first class. One criticism is the stairs to the toilets do not have a handrail, I saw at least four people need assistance to get to them, very dangerous.
